Pirate Cupcakes

This past weekend my sister asked me to make pirate cupcakes for her friend's birthday

For those of you who know me know I LOVE CUPCAKES

I typically like to make fancy cupcakes with swirly frosting and sprinkles so the pirates were going to be a challenge for me.

Here is how they turned out

I LOVED how they turned out.

And they were so much fun to make.

The cupcakes are chocolate cake with cream filling.

The top is a layer of ganache then fondant made to look like pirates and skull and bones

 

I think these cupcakes go well with the Halloween season don't you think?
